GIS 4652 - ATLANTIC CITY:PAST AS PROLOGUE
Open to juniors and seniors only.
From its inception as a seaside health resort in the mid 1800's, to its popularity during the Prohibition years of the early 20th century, and to the gambling era of today, Atlantic City has had a colorful history. This course will use Atlantic City's history as a foundation to help students identify the numerous characteristics that have established the fabric of this community. Students will explore, review, and investigate the social,economical,cultural,political and environmental issues that have faced Atlantic City.
