Historical Consciousness course (H).
This course is an introduction to the study of the discipline of History and a required course for all History majors. Students learn important themes, questions, and problems addressed by scholars of history. Students examine the nature of the historical discipline, its method and its evidence. Class assignments develop skills in identifying and formulating historical arguments, learning research skills and understanding the organization of formal historical scholarship.
