You can use any combination of selection options to narrow your search for courses. You must choose at least one subject. Multiple subjects can be selected by dragging the mouse over two or more courses, or holding the Ctrl key while clicking on desired subjects. When selecting by course number range, you must enter a low and a high number. When your selection is complete, choose Get Courses to perform the search. |

Prerequisite: MUSC 2115 and MUSC 2116. This course examines the role of small and large-scale forms in Western music through the 4 predominant language systems: the modal system, the consonance-dissonance system, the tonal system, and the 12-tone system. Students will be expected to complete a term project consisting of analysis of a major work.
